After a safety briefing with tea or coffee we sail down the harbour and if conditions
are right cross the Solent to the Isle of Wight, usually Bembridge or Seaview. Here
we have the opportunity of anchoring for a picnic lunch or picking up a buoy and
visiting a local sailing club and the surrounding village. Alternatively a light
lunch can be supplied on board for a small extra charge. During the trip all our
guests have the opportunity of taking part in the sailing or just sitting back and
relaxing, and on summer days, once we have arrived, many people (especially the younger
ones!) like to swim from the boat. In the afternoon we return to Chichester and with
a favourable wind direction sail right up the harbour to the marina.
Many of the possible variations include sailing through the Forts to Portsmouth Harbour.
Here you will have the opportunity of viewing the warships and perhaps having lunch
on the Lightship, returning in the afternoon through the submarine barrier. Or simply
enjoy sailing in the Solent towards Cowes while watching the great variety of yachts,
ships and pleasure boats that use our waters. Whatever you choose, an enjoyable day
